Casa de la Paz is situated in the heart of downtown St. Augustine, Florida across from the Intercoastal Waterway and the historic Bridge of Lions.

The oldest city in the United States, St. Augustine is filled with rich history as well as a range of activities. To the south are art districts, to the west is the shopping district, and to the north is the Fort and Uptown San Marco district. In any direction, you will find a wide variety of restaurants to suit all budgets and food cravings.

Each of our seven rooms offers tasteful décor with a casually elegant style and yet each is fully appointed for everyday needs. All rooms have an in-room telephone, cable TV, alarm clock/radio, hair dryer, and iron / ironing board.

Take our tour and you’ll know that Casa de la Paz is the perfect escape from the day-to-day grind, with the relaxing pace that our waterfront location offers. So convenient, you can park your car and ignore it until it is time to leave.

We are George and Kathie Dann, and we look forward to welcoming you to our home. Many of you who have stayed with us have fond memories of Jake, our Golden Retriever of 15 years. Unfortunately, Jake recently passed away, but his spirit lives on in our hearts and minds. He will be sorely missed.

We have combined our technology, customer service skills, cooking, decorating, gardening, and Internet skills to create a well-rounded and inviting environment for our guests. We delight in meeting new people and sharing in and helping to create the perfect experience for weddings, proposals, or any special occasion. We strive to create an experience that our guests will enjoy and return to so we may have the pleasure of serving you again. As live-in owners/innkeepers, we are available for any customer need.

Policies

• We are an adult-only bed and breakfast, and do not accept children under the age of 16. 
• Smoking is permitted outdoors only, never inside.
• A deposit equal to the first night or 50% of extended stays of 5 or more nights is required at the time of reservation.
  • All major credit cards accepted.
  • Checks accepted for deposits on stays booked greater than 30 days from arrival.
  • Balance must be paid by cash, credit card, or travelers checks; sorry, no personal checks.
• Rates are subject to change without prior notice.
• We ask that you not bring your pets.
• If it becomes necessary to cancel your reservation, a $25 cancellation fee will apply. Reservations must be canceled 7 days prior to arrival for refund of deposit, less cancellation fee. Cancellations made after this 7 day deadline will result in forfeiture of deposit, if accommodation is not rented.
