St. Augustine offers something
every
day of the year but it is even more special during the holidays
when the entire downtown area is lit up in white lights for the
annual "Nights of Lights" season. Sing Christmas carols
while you tour the St. Augustine Historic Inns Holiday Tour, The
Tour of Homes, or the ever-popular Christmas Parade. There are special
area events throughout the holiday season.
The spring brings the best of Florida weather with cool evenings,
dry days, and an abundance of flowers throughout the city. Not to
be missed is the Arts & Crafts show and Rhythm & Ribs Festival
although equally fun is the Fire & Ice Festival and so many
more events throughout the spring months.
The summers offer weekly free concerts on the plaza. Dance on
the green to blues, jazz, and reggae as well as oldies and goodies
on Thursday nights. Maybe you like historical reenactments? Check
out Drakes Raid or Serles Revenge, the British Encampment are all
glorious in their historical authenticity.
The fall is a great time to visit if you like the quieter times.
Most folks are busy getting their kids back to school, so it is
a good time to enjoy a slower pace of life. Still you will find
special area events to draw you into the action.
If we know of an event going on during your visit, we will make
sure you know about it, too.
